LayerLedger

Know what every print costs before you promise a price.

LayerLedger is a workshop ledger for 3D printing. Drop in a sliced file and it tells you the grams, the time, the cost, and whether you have the filament to finish the order on time. Your records stay on your own computer.

One-time purchase. No subscription, no account, no cloud.

From the shop

Receipts in, spools counted. Drop the receipt and each spool goes on the shelf with what it really cost, shipping included.
Every layer on the record. From the first layer to the shipped order, one set of numbers.

What it does

Four jobs a print shop does every day, in one place, without retyping anything.

Numbers you can sign

Every quote comes from the sliced file's real grams and minutes, your spools' real prices, and the labor, fees and failure allowance you set. When the order ships, the actual sits next to the estimate.

Nothing typed twice

Drop a supplier receipt and the spools go into inventory with their landed cost. Drop an Etsy order export and the orders appear with sale price, shipping and tax. Scan a spool's QR label and it's on the printer.

A plan you can promise

Supply & Demand sets filament aside for each order by priority and due date, flags any order at late risk, and writes the buy list with the order each spool is for.

Tax time, already done

Reports give a year-end pack laid out by Schedule C line, inventory value on any date, and profit by month. Export everything to CSV whenever you like. It's your data.

Watch a print go from sliced file to shipped order.

Works with the printers and slicers you already have

Reads files from Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer (including .bgcode), Cura, Creality Print, Simplify3D, ideaMaker, FlashPrint, Snapmaker Luban and Kiri:Moto. Shows live status and filament slots from Bambu Lab printers and any Klipper printer on your network, read-only, with no vendor account.

English and Spanish on every screen. Light, dark and high-contrast looks, spoken prompts, and full keyboard use.

Your data stays yours

LayerLedger is built so that nothing about your shop leaves your computer unless you export it.

On your own machine
All records live in one file on your computer or phone. No account, no login, no server on our side.
Nothing phones home
No telemetry, no analytics, no update checks that send anything about you. Receipt reading and slicer parsing run on the device.
Encrypted on the phone
The phone app keeps records in an AES-256 encrypted database, with the key in the phone's own secure store.
Yours to take
Export every table to CSV at any time. Daily backups go to a folder you can see. Stop using LayerLedger and your data is still readable.

Ask LayerLedger

Have a question about the product? Ask here. The answers come only from the published information on this site and in the user guide, and it will tell you when it doesn't know.

It's an assistant, not a person; for anything it can't answer, write to beta@layerledger.app.

This box is the one part of the site that talks to a server: your question is sent to layerledger.app to be answered and is not stored or used for anything else. The LayerLedger app itself never talks to this or any other server.

Hi. Ask me anything about LayerLedger: what it does, what it costs, which printers and slicers it works with, or how your data is handled.

Windows beta

A small group of sellers is testing the Windows build now, before the cross-platform app goes on sale. It's free for testers and we take your feedback seriously.

  1. Tell us about your shopHow many printers, roughly how many spools, and where you sell. An Etsy shop is especially welcome.
  2. Get the installerWe send a Windows installer and a short guide. The beta build is unsigned, so Windows asks you to confirm once.
  3. Use it for real workDrop in your own receipts, orders and sliced files, then tell us what was confusing, slow, or wrong.

To ask about the beta, write to beta@layerledger.app.
